My Roomba Vacuum Review – With Pets is great.  I would rate this iRobot Vacuum Cleaner a 4.5 of 5 stars.

I like to keep things Simple.  The iRobot Roomba Vacuum does just that!  It keeps things simple.

Does dragging your everyday vacuum cause strain on your back?  Is it heavy and cumbersome to carry up and down stairs?

Let’s face it, most of us hate vacuuming.  This is why I LOVE Roomba and am giving my personal Roomba Vacuum Review – With Pets in the household.  I have 4 very large, furry dogs that shed endlessly.  I also have 5 lovely housecats.  They shed too.  Whenever I sweep, multiple times per day sometimes, I always pick up huge volumes of fur from my furbabies.  The Roomba Vacuum, by iRobot gives me a much-appreciated break.

What is Does

The IRobot Rooma 870 Robotic Vacuum Cleaner is a robotic vacuum cleaner for your home.  It is compact, quiet and efficient, capable of cleaning bare or carpeted floors.  There is very little set up involved with this equipment.  You merely plug it in, set the current time and set the scheduled time that you want it to run.  Very easy.  When you receive it, you need to allow it to charge 3 hours, or overnight, then you can practically set it and “forget it”.  The Roomba will use its powerful 3-stage cleaning to keep your floors well maintained.

Roomba Cleaning

Maintenance is Easy

Maintenance is very easy.  You must empty the dirt cup and remove any visible debris from the underside of the unit after each use.  The hepa filter should be cleaned at least weekly, especially if you have pets.  More often is better.  I just make that part of my routine and clean the filter when I empty the dirt cup.  The rollers are super easy to clean also.  They just pop out and you can brush them off with a dry paper towel or you can rinse them, let them dry and replace them.

My Overall Impression of the Roomba

I really like it!  It really impressed me with how well it got into corners and around the table and chair legs.  It also did it without kicking up tons of dust, like a traditional broom does.

It runs quietly and keeps a charge long enough to do a large room, with time to spare.  When it’s finished, it puts itself away!  Does your normal broom, dustpan or vacuum do that?!?!

Surprisingly, the dirt cup is large enough to run through my entire kitchen and dining area sufficiently.  I have to empty it after each run, but it is so easy to empty, that is not an issue for me.

Roomba Virtual Wall
Using the Virtual Wall

I also like that I can limit where it goes with the Virtual Wall Barrier.  If you do not want it to go past a certain spot, simply place the small virtual barrier where you want it to stop.

It is easy to move, also.  I have had it run in my kitchen/dining room and let it dock itself and charge for an hour or so and move the Roomba and its’ docking station to the living room and let it run there.
